Hi Tweets,

This morning I birded parts of Snohomish County. I
decided to go up to the Fortson Mill Ponds off Highway
530 near Darrington to look for American Redstarts,
since they have been reported there for the past 2
years but not yet this year. I came up empty handed
after looking for 2.5 hours but did see some nice
birds including RUFFED GROUSE and BANK SWALLOW.

About 7 or 8 miles west of the Fortson Mill Ponds is C
Post Rd. This is right off highway 530. Just before
the bridge on C Post Rd. I had a singing male AMERICAN
REDSTART as well as a singing RED-EYED VIREO. Atleast
one BLACK SWIFT was with the VAUX'S SWIFTS flying over
the Stilliguamish River bridge. If you go past the
bridge and to the left, the road leads to the Mt.
Higgins trail head. I had an adult NORTHERN GOSHAWK
there this morning as well.

On my way home I stopped by Spencer Island and saw two
EASTERN KINGBIRDS at the NE corner of the island.
