I failed to mention the following in my previous post about birding at the
Roslyn Exit, Trendwest property. While there I talked with one of the locals
that lives on five acres. According to him, a security guard saw a Black
Bear about a week ago on the main road. It was cinnamon colored and estimated
to weigh about 400 pounds. I was parked near that area. A smaller black
Black Bear has also been seen near the main road. So, watch your footing
and be careful what you pish for.
