Tweeters,

I saw the Eastern Phoebe today in Leavenworth with Bruce LeBar. I first
heard it singing at about 7:30, almost as soon as I arrived at the bridge to
Blackbird Island. It was singing from high up in a cottonwood. I looked
for it for about half an hour then walked around the island.

The most interesting sighting was three female Red Crossbills that landed in
a bush near the bridge. Also, many Catbirds, singing Red-eyed Vireos,
Veeries, etc.

Bruce found me at about 8:10 and shortly afterward we were able to see the
phoebe perched low with great views, even through the scope. Wonderful bird!
