Hi all.

I'm new to this list and fairly new at serious birdwatching. Anyway, my
wife and I went down to Nisqually on Saturday and saw some birds that I
hadn't checked off yet on my list. One that stumps me however, is a
hummingbird with a white chest, very bright-red neck and dark top of the
head. It hovered for a while at the fork in the boardwalk to the barn, and
then sat on a blackberry bush. I had an excellent look at it and have never
seen such a bright red on a hummingbird. I have rufous hummingbirds at my
house in Puyallup all the time, so I know it is not a rufous. I've seen
Anna's less than a month ago up at Montlake and they were a dark red, not
the very bright red that I saw. So, my question is this......Have there
been spottings of Ruby Throated Hummingbirds around Nisqually in the past?
Is this one? Or am I just being fooled by an Anna's???
