Hi Tweets,
Black River Wetland, Renton, King county, Sat 6/23/01.
http://www.rainieraudubon.org/birdwatch/valley.htm

I was surpirsed to see total four Ospreys circling over this wetland, I
think they were planning to land but decided to abort after judging that
there are no fish. They caught my attention as they were calling by short
call notes. First I thought there are some ducklings who are calling their
mom, but when I could not find anything I looksed up and saw all four at a
time. Then they went to east side!

Other notable activity was by Cedar Waxwings, there were many. Couple of
weeks back I did see one was collecting nest material also.

Other birds seen were :
Rufous Hummingbird
House Finch
American Goldfinch
Northern Flicker
Common Snipe
Common Yellowthroat (probably nesting)
Green Heron
Great Blue Herons (making trips to their nests to feed their chicks)
Red-winged blackbird
Marsh Wren
Bewicks Wren (family)
Bushtit (one family was building nest; another feeding chicks!)

But during my many visits, I have never seen any Anna's Hummingbird,
only Rufous, don't know why!

Happy Birding,
Narendra Bhagwat
