the South Jetty of the Columbia River, Clatsop Co., OR

Weather: Wind NE 5-10; Temp 60F

Method: 1 hour station count from jetty 500m west of 3 rocks
SJCR using 20x60 Bushnell spotting scope and 8x50 Bushnell
binoculars. Birds were sorted as to flyby, sitting on beach, sitting
on ocean or sitting on river.

Notes: Clear with a calm ocean and wind from the NE. This was
also a substantial minus tide. An odd shearwater (described in
a separate post) flew by at 1010hr. There was also a single
SOOTY SHEARWATER seen.
