My son, Todd, lives in Cannon Beach, OR and is on the staff of the Haystack
Rock Awareness Program. He is presently coping with the many tourists in the
area and trying to keep them out of sensitive area. He had a young girl come
up to him and say she saw an Anemone eating a cormorant. He went to
investigate and did find an Anemone feeding on a baby Pelagic Cormorant.
Apparently, the baby PECO had falling out of a nest and down to the rocks and
water below. He didn't have a camera with him, but hopes to go back tomorrow
morning to get a picture. He figures it will take be a while for it to finish
the meal.
