Does anyone know what is nesting at the top of the cell tower near the
Tukwila train station (by the Boeing Longacres site). The nest covers
the entire top of the cell tower and consists of large sticks and
twigs. There is at least one juvenile in the nest.

I take the train from Sumner to Tukwila and work in one of the Boeing
Longacres buildings. The walk to the buildings from the station
platform is wonderful. A couple days ago I noticed a bird flying high
overhead. S/he looked and sounded almost like a gull, but the wing
tips were distinctly feathered like that of a hawk or eagle. From the
ground, this bird appeared to have an incredibly long tail, but it was
also very pale on the breast and body--almost white. Unfortunately,
dodging trees and not taking any notes has made my memory somewhat
sketchy. I wonder if anyone else might be familiar with the area and
know what I saw?

Goldfinch
House Finch
House Sparrow
Song Sparrow
White-crowned Sparrow
Tree Swallow
American Robin
California Quail
Great Blue Heron
American Coot
Mallard (female with young 'uns)
European Starling
American Crow

There are several birds I have been unable to identify because I lack
the knowledge. I can think of at least three birds that I saw just
today that I am unsure about; either they were juveniles or the female
of a species or simply a local variant of an otherwise common bird.
(After several years of doing this I am still *such* a novice.) One
was possibly a female Common Yellowthroat.

But, back to my original question. Does anyone know what bird is
nesting atop the cell tower by the Tukwila train station (near the
Courtyard Marriot--I think--on West Valley Highway, otherwise known as
Interurban)?
