Hi Tweeters, yesterday afternoon and evening I heard a Bobwhite (maybe 2) calling in the alley behind my house. After a while, my husband and I heard it from much farther off and decided to take a walk to see if we could find it. While out walking around the neighborhood we ran in to some friends who live about 2 blocks west of us. They said that they had heard a Bobwhite calling in the morning. I have never heard one in Seattle - the National Geo book says that Northwest populations of the Bobwhite were introduced but the map didn't show any indication of any being in this area. Sibley has a purple spot somewhere around Olympia. Anyone else who lives near the Seward Park PCC hear them?
