Our dog slept through the whole thing, didn't even wake up when the book hit her in the ribs. But the crows outside went a little nuts. Thought we might have a nice big ol' raptor in the yard, so I was just finishing a sentence and about to go outside....I was on a floor which is a carpeted concrete pad, and we're right on the bed rock.

Denver Holt gave a great, if somewhat blasphemous, talk last night at the Fredonia Grange outside Burlington. All about Snowy Owls. Remember the name; the guy did a great job.
