The Northern Goshawks (a mature and a juvenile) are still hanging out at the Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary on Westham Island, about a half hour beyond the border in B.C. Follow Hwy 10 west. through Ladner nearly to the end, look for the signs to the right turn which takes you up and over the really cool old wooden bridge to Westham Island.

At the very end of Hwy 10 there's a good access to shorebird habitat at Brunswick Point, one of the stops for Saturday's (tomorrow's) field trip mentioned in an earlier note.

Also off Hwy 10, immediately west of the Boundary Bay Airport, the OWL raptor rehab society has two Golden Eagles and a Peregrine Falcon, as well as a breeding pair of kestrels. If you're looking for these birds in the wild it may help to see them up close. OWL is just a mile south of Hwy 10, and the birds can be seen anytime.
