Our cat calmly hopped out of the chair in which he was sleeping and crawled
underneath it. 5 minutes after the shaking stopped he was back in the chair,
snoring in the sunshine.

The sound of the quake was huge. When everything stopped there were a few
seconds of perfect stillness and then the birds started yelling like crazy.
