Had a gryfalcon at the Hwy 26 x Hwy 395 crossing at about 1430 hrs (Sat).
The bird was perched right over 395 on a light pole . I just about put my
wife thru the windshield trying to stop. Having my family along is good
luck, last year while they were with me we also found a gyr on Hwy 17.
Also looked around Bassett Park in Washtucna did not find much activity had
a golden-crowned sparrow, three varied thrush and a ruby-crowned kinglet
other than that the rest are expected birds.
