Jo Ann,
Several of us saw a 2nd winter Mew Gull on the route that at least in key respects matched the description posted. Dennis Paulson had originally suggested that as a possibility. We did not, however, make a judgement as to what the bird first reported was in fact. I'll forward my description of the Mew Gull if I can find it.
Gene Hunn.

On Jan. 26/01 (or thereabouts), a "Possible Black-tailed Gull" sighting and description was posted to Tweeters (www.peregrinenorthwest.com/black_tailed_gull . The bird had been seen from the Edmonds - Kingston ferry.
A week or two later, as I recall, othes located what they believed was the same bird, and posted reasons why they thought it was a Ring-billed and not a Black-tailed. Does anyone still have a copy of that second posting? If so, could you kindly send me a copy? Thanks.
