Hi, All:

Even though there is two feet of snow in my yard I wanted to jump on line
with a big "hurrah! My first Cassin's Finch of the year just showed up
outside my kitchen window. The Red-winged blackbirds (males only) usually
start showing up in January, a few at a time, and by mid-February the flock
is up to about 40. Yesterday 2 females were at the suet block so they're on
their way. Things are starting to look up!
