Here ya go, from Tweeters in Jan of this year, by Dave Brodeur:

A couple of people have asked me where Big Ditch is, so there are probably
a few more of you out there in Tweeterland quietly wondering.
Big Ditch is an access to the Skagit Wildlife Area, about 2 miles north of
Stanwood. The access road goes straight west off 102nd Ave NW, right where
102nd joins Hwy 530. In the DeLorme Atlas, it's on page 95.
There's a little bit of a map at

http://www.wa.gov/wdfw/lands/r4skagit.htm.

The Big Ditch access is the place marked with a star in the middle of
Skagit Bay's east end.

_Birder's Guide to Washington_ by Diann MacRae describes this and several
other interesting birding spots in this area.
