Subject: Crow research positions
FIELD ASSISTANTS (1-2) needed for study of demography and dispersal of
AMERICAN CROWS along a gradient of urbanization in Seattle, Washington.
Part- or full-time positions available APRIL 1 - SEPTEMBER 30, 2001 (start
and end dates flexible). Work to include finding and monitoring crow
nests in urban, suburban, and rural sites, climbing nests to band
nestlings, trapping and banding adults, radio-tagging juveniles, and
radio-tracking dispersing crows. No specific experience required, but the
ability to read color bands in the field is essential, and climbing skills
or any background in nest monitoring, bird banding, or radio-telemetry
helpful. Own binoculars and vehicle to drive to sites required. Salary
