Monday 3/5/01 5:38pm. Hi, this is Greg Toffic in Everett. 425 338 1746.
And today in Blaine there were 2 drake C0MMON TEAL in the southeast
corner of the bay. A good place to view these from would be from Picnic
Shelter #1, which is along the bay just as you come off the road going towards
the marina itself. Nothing else of note there. However I stopped at Stein Road
and was unable to find the NORTHERN HAWK OWL, but in Stanwood the
GREAT TAILED GRACKLE was still easily locatable at the intersection of
104th and 272nd. Good luck and good birding.

Monday March 5, 7:12 AM Hi, this is Stephen Mlodinow. Yesterday Ryan
Shaw, Dennis Duffy and I birded the North end of Willapa Bay and then went
out to Ocean Shores. Nothing unexpected species-wise but good numbers
of birds. Some of the high counts included 585 MARBLED GODWITS in
Tokeland, 260 LEAST SANDPIPERS in the Tokeland area, 21 SEMI-PALMATED
PLOVERS at the Midway Beach access to the beach. Also at that location
we had about 15 SNOW BUNTINGS. We had a TURKEY VULTURE at Bay
Center and the PRIBILOFF RACE ROCK SAND PIPER was still at the end
of the Ocean Shores jetty. Good luck and good birding.
