Thanks for the quick responses re: redpoll question. All responses were
the same, including mine (initially) but the sister watched lots of finches
at my feeder,viewed pictures and still says she knows what she saw and it
looked like a redpoll. Now what are the chances she was graced with a visit
from this lovely little creature who had just dipped the very top of his head
in a paint pot of red?
Anyone familiar with the Mill Pond along the Snoqualmie, S.E. of the
falls? Are those Trumpeters bobbing and up-ending out of range of my
binoculars? I've seldom seen much life on that pond, an occasional coot,
until just recently. I assumed it was an unhealthy habitat.
