Subject: Stillaguamish flats

There are two other entries to the flats of the Stilly that I know.

One is Boe Road, just to the south of Thomle Road. But again it is a dead
end where you can look over the dike at Port Susan Bay.

The other is at the end of Eide Road. This is a sharp left turn off the
main road going west from Stanwood at the west end of the first bridge.
Here you can walk the dike because it is property of the WDFW. In winter
this area is great for sparrows, hawks, and short-eared owls. Watch for
hunters in season.
