7:48 Sat. Hi, this is Stephen Mlodinow. Today Dennis Duffy and I birded around Snohomish County.
Highlights included 2 EURASIAN-AMERICAN and GREEN-WINGED TEAL hybrids at Spencer Island.
We did not find the red shouldered hawk there. We also had 2 WHITE FRONTED GEESE by the
gyrfalcon spot just east of Snohomish, but no gyrfalcon. THE GREAT TAILED GRACKLE was
singing from its usual location in Stanwood. This is where the old Pacific Highway comes south
from the Big Ditch area into Stanwood, just after entering the city. At Priest Point near Marysville
we had 3 LESSER YELLOWLEGS, along with 8 or SO GREATER YELLOWLEGS, there was also
a SPOTTED SANDPIPER there. That's it, good luck and good birding.

12:45pm yesterday. Hi, this is Shiva Parameswaran. 206 623 0753. I was bird watching in Montlake
Fill today searching for the PALM WARBLER. After much effort it is still there in the southwestern
part of the ponds, hanging in those deciduous trees and other bushes down there, very easy to identify.
The EURASIAN RACE OF THE GREEN-WINGED TEAL is also still there. The reason I am calling is
I saw round about 6 or 7 TREE SWALLOWS arrive. Good luck and good birding.

7:48 3/8. Hi, good morning, it's March 8, my name is John Carnie, I live out in the east side of Pierce
County, near Rocky Bay, on the Mason and Kitsap borders. This morning we were treated with our
first return male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD. That was quite a treat. And also this week on our property
we've had a tan striped WHITE-THROATED SPARROW. And in the last 2 days I have seen an immature
SHARP-SHINNED HAWK near our bird feeders. Hope to see you this spring out in the basin here. Have a nice day.
