At 8:20 AM today, Sunday, the Palm Warbler was at the NW corner of the pond
adjacent to the western gravel parking lot at the Montlake Fill (Union Bay
Natural Area). It was wagging its tail and making a lot of "seep" call
notes and as it chased away a Yellow-rump, RC Kinglet and House Finches.
After the chase was over, it dropped down into vegetation and was not seen
or heard again. On March 5 I saw it on the south side of the same swamp.

Hi:
I will be visiting Redmond from Mar.17 to 23 for my annual early taste of
spring and am wondering if the Palm Warbler is still being seen at Montlake.
Also if you could arrange it please no rain or earthquakes for that week.

Randy,

Faye McAdams and I saw the Palm Warbler Wednesday morning, the 7th in the
grove between the flagged pond and the bay. There are also Yellow-Rumps
there, and it is instructive to note the differences.

The Eurasian Teal is still in the first large pond on your left as you start
out from the Urban Horticulture side.
