With thanks to Ian Paulsen for steering me in the right direction; my
acorn woodpecker now looks a lot more like a male Downy Woodpecker. Now the
question is, what's stuffing filberts in the cedar stump. I have never seen
a squirrel in my neighborhood. We do have a healthy Red-tail population.
