Hi, Tweets

For those of you not subscribed to one of the several conservation groups
that have been sending messages (for us) to the president, congress, etc.,
re the Arctic National Wilderness Area, here is an update I received
yesterday in which, finally, legislators are making an effort to change the
structure of the wilderness conservation laws. For those interested, go
into the site.

And don't forget to watch for (and report) turkey vultures - they're
heading north!!!!

"In January, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service proposed a new policy to keep
the "wild" in wilderness. It would supersede the current, antiquated
policy that fails to reflect the agency's duty to protect wilderness
character. Your comments are needed by March 19 to support and strengthen
this policy, and to turn back internal and external assaults from
wilderness opponents. Take action at"
