3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, drove by the Stein Road site, searched for
20 minutes, no owl. Just to let you know, esp. if you're coming some
distance to see it, that it's become unreliable. I'll continue to check
from time to time as my understanding is that their migration patterns are
not well understood, though I would not expect this individual to remain
much longer. If anyone has more thoughts on what to expect I'll be happy
to hear them.

Still a lot of swans (easily a hundred or so, didn't stop to count) right
by the I-5 freeway just south of the Nooksack River bridge (western Whatcom
County).
