Sunday, 3/11/01, 11:19 am. This is Dick Nelson. Today at
Point No Point on the NE tip of the Kitsap peninsula between
11 and 11:15, I had a first winter and an adult LITTLE GULL in
with a flock of BONAPARTES and MEW GULLS. Thank you.

Reporting on a trip taken to BC yesterday by myself, Kate Tilletsen
and Jean Martin of Austin, TX. The BRAMBLING was seen at
1961 Berkeley in North Vancouver where it has been seen for a
while. FOUR CRESTED MYNAHS were seen at First and Wylie
in downtown Vancouver. We didn't see either THE HAWK OWL
at the Stein Road location, Custer, or the NORTHERN PYGMY
OWL at Maplewood Farms. But we did finish up the day by seeing
a brilliant SNOWY OWL that was backlit by the lights of the city at
Sunset Beach in downtown Vancouver. This location is just west
of the Burrard St. Bridge. The bird showed up after 7:30 pm.

This morning Alan Canoe and I were at the Montlake Fill where we
found the PALM WARBLER still in the pond south of the gravel
parking lot. We also had a DRAKE EURASIAN VERSION OF
GREEN WINGED TEAL in the north east pond near the Center f
or Urban Horticulture. A birder from out of town reported seeing
a singing PYGMY OWL at the WalMart area in Mt. Rainier National
Park today.

Wednesday, 3/14/01, 4:53 pm: Hi, this is Mike Whitter calling.
Last weekend at Westport on the 11th we saw a BLACK LEGGED
KITTIWAKE adult winter plumage flying up and down the jetty. My
