Had a half-dozen AM. GOLDFINCHES at my thistle feeder all weekend
long. Also watched some great BALD EAGLE courtship action on Friday
afternoon right over Alki Point -- a male and female would fly together in
very close formation, chirping back and forth (low -- just 150 feet up or
so). Then another adult male would periodically show up, causing the other
male to fly after him and chase him away. This was repeated several times.
The lone male was also seen feeding on a dead BRANT that was washed up on
the beach near the Point.
