Good Morning Tweeters,
I took a short trip out to Spencer Island yesterday in an effort to get some
exercise. However I find it difficult to go without my binoculars which
severely hinders my task. There where dozens of swallows that appeared to be
TREE SWALLOWS. They were already checking out the bird boxes just on the
other side of the bridge. I scared up an AMERICAN BITTERN near the road
before the bridge and observed a DOWNY WOODPECKER as well as a HAIRY
WOODPECKER. There were several RUDDY DUCKS out on the sewer ponds. My
favorite though is the chorus of MARSH WRENS.
I'm heading back out again today it's too nice to stay home and work!
