On Feb.23rd at Beacon Rock State Park in Skamania County, I found four
male RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKERS in one small mixed patch of cottonwoods and
Oregon Ash trees. I had a single bird there several weeks earlier there
are numerous sap wells in these trees either from resident or wintering
populations.
