reporting 2 more TV's at Sargent's Bay, 5 mile north of Sechelt on the ridge soaring in the afternoon thermals. What was interesting was a very distinct marking on the right wing of one of them. the leading edge of the right wing was distinctly creamy yellow in color for approx. 50% of the length from the carpal jt to the body, starting near the carpal joint. The bird was viewed in clear sunlight with blue sky behind and perfect afternoon sun through 60x scope for about 5 minutes at a distance of <1500 yds.
The bird was not showing any signs of being injured.
Has anyone else seen this bird on it's journey north. Any ideas?
