Early this morning our neighborhood Cooper's Hawk came cruising sort of
slowly through the yard, south to north, escorted by a large number of
crows. She may have been fatigued if they'd been at her for a while. Then
later in the day we watched about ten or so crows harass a Red-tail through
the neighborhood. The crows are nesting in the yard and close by in a
large woodlot as well, so it's as if they are putting the raptors on notice
before laying the eggs.

We've also had numerous pairs of Bald Eagles putting on quite a show right
over the border, maybe 2 to 3,000 feet or more in the air.
