Tonight I report an invasion of EURASIAN WIGEONS. In Washington, a single
EURASIAN WIGEON continues to be seen on the "Para Ponds" just NW of Othello,
Adams Co WA according to Randy Hill (hill at cbnn.net) WA DeLorme 53, B-7; and
one was seen Mar 17 and 19 on stateline pond, south of College Place, Walla
Walla Co WA, just north of the Oregon/Washington stateline along WA 125
according to Larry and Jacque Goodhew and Sue and John Rogers
(johrog at bmi.net) WA DeLorme 41, 5.5 at the bottom of the page. In Idaho,
single EURASIAN WIGEONS were at Heyburn State Park near Plummer, Benewah Co
ID Mar 18 according to Lisa Hardy, ID DeLorme 60, C-1; northeast of Moscow,
Latah Co ID on the ponds along Foothill Road at the base of Moscow Mountain
on Mar 18 according to Jane Westervelt; at Mann Lake, Nez Perce Co ID on Mar
23 according to Bryan Jamison (jami9197 at aol.com) and Keith Carlson
(KEC201814 at aol.com) ID DeLorme 54, A-1; and near Cataldo, Kootenai Co ID on
Mar 18 according to Stephen Lindsay (slindsay at dmi.net). Also near Cataldo Dr
Lindsay saw 2 GREATER SCAUP and a TRUMPETER SWAN loosely associated with a
flock of 60 TUNDRA SWANS. ID DeLorme 60, B-3.

A BARRED OWL is being very vocal in Genesee, Latah Co ID according to Terry
Gray. Terry has been hearing the bird every night for the past month,
particularly between 7 and 9 pm. It seems to prefer the dense trees at the
corner of Hazel and Pine. If you enter Genesee from US 95, Pine Street heads
north just after the grocery store. ID DeLorme 58, C-1.

An adult THAYER'S GULL was seen in Spokane, Spokane Co WA on Mar 22
according to Matthew Moskwik (mpmoskwik at hotmail.com). The bird was at Manito
Park on the South Hill. From I-90, take the Division Street exit (Exit 181)
and head south and up hill. Wind your way up the hill and continue up hill
as Division turns into Grand Avenue. Continue on Grand Avenue past 14th
Street to the entrance to Manito Park on the right side of the street. WA

A white-morph WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was at the Osprey Inn feeder in
Harrison, Kootenai Co ID on Mar 18 according to Stephen Lindsay
(slindsay at dmi.net). The Inn is on the north edge of town along ID 97. ID

An adult SNOWY OWL was near Colton, Whitman Co WA last weekend according to
Tom and Diane Weber. WA DeLorme 57, D-7.5. If you'd like more information,
