Subject: Manx Shearwater yesterday

Greetings all.
Well the highlight of yesterdays pelagic from Westport was a single MANX
SHEARWATER that made 2 passes in front of the boat about 3 or so miles
offshore. Definitely an interesting bird for this time of year, or any time
of year. This would represent the early record for the state for Manx as
the previous early record was April 9th of last year.
I will post the numbers from the trip in about a weeks time on the website
www.westportseabirds.com.
There is still plenty of room on the April 14th "deepwater trip," but its
expected to start filling fast so early reservations are advised. Check
westportseabirds.com for details.
Good Birding
