I walked my dog in Magnuson Park in Seattle every morning for years. There
were several morning break-ins during that period, but never to my car. The
cars that were robbed were entered by breaking a car window. I never left
anything valuable in the car and always left the doors unlocked. (I realize
this isn't a practical solution on a long trip when you have a lot of gear
or if you have an expensive stereo in the car, but the factory-installed
Escort radio apparently wasn't a temptation. Nor was the Escort itself. :)
