Birded areas in King and Snohomish Counties this
morning. One highlight was a Western Meadowlark at
Spencer Island, as well as a Peregrine Falcon which
stooped at and caught one of about 100
dowitchers...Mostly Long-billed, but they came by so
fast (and not calling) that there was no way to tell
if there were any short-billed.

Also, There were about as many ducks on the main pond
at the Montlake Fill as I have ever seen at one time.
Included in the group were the Eurasian Green-winged
Teal and a Eurasian Wigeon. The Palm Warbler was also
found quite easily. It now appears to be in nearly
complete breeding plumage, with the chestnut cap etc.
We watched it for about 10 minutes and it really is a
pretty bird now.
