Today was the first calm morning we've had here in about
a week. Michelle and I walked the Shively Park Transect.
We saw or hear at least 3 PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHERS and
got very good looks at a DUSKY FLYCATCHER (pretty much
annual here in migration). HERMIT WARBLERS were singing
in the large Douglas-firs. Other new migrants were WESTERN
TANAGER and BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK.

Also saw a pair of amorous TOWNSEND'S CHIPMUNKS follicking
among the Douglas Maples

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at pacifier.com by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
