Subject: singing gambelii white-crown at Brownsmead

Michelle and I went out to Brownsmead this morning mostly
to see if we could find anything cool in the flooded fields.

At Bug Hole we heard, then saw a Gambels-type WHITE-CROWNED
SPARROW. So different sounding that I didn't recognize it
as a White-crowned at first (I had to see it before I made the
connection).

The field on Aldrich Point (just past the EMUS) was full of
WHIMBREL (101 by my count) and YELLOW WARBLERS were all along
Blind Slough (first for the year for me).

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at pacifier.com by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
