Tweets - we went out for a short hike up the Rattlesnake Ledge Trail above
Rattlesnake Lake, near North Bend, King Co., this morning.

The lake has been reduced to a puddle, occupying maybe 1/10th the usual lake
area. Around and over the lake were and OSPREY, a SPOTTED SANDPIPER, several
NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW, and a TURKEY VULTURE.

On the lower slopes of the trail I had one or two almost pure HERMIT WARBLER,
with solid yellow cheeks and crowns, no breast streaking, but a faint yellowish
wash below the black bib, and some green on the back (the extent of which I was
not able to determine).

Further up slope were many TOWNSEND'S WARBLER.
