Sun between 7:am and about 8:30 am I seen 5 Mt. Quail at the Port
Orchard airport near the model airplane area. They were not calling and did
not respond to my tape playing. Two were at the model airplane area and the
other three were along the fence going up the hill along the gravel quarry.
These birds did not move until I was just about on top of them. Then they
would flush for about 50 ft. And drop into the brush not to be seen again. I
finally can add this to my life list after about 3 try's at this area. Wish
I could have seen them in the open. Maybe earlier in the a.m. might work.
