Today Jim Pruske and I spent the morning to early afternoon birding the
Nisqually Refuge. The best bird of the day was a single Lewis's
Woodpecker which was found by Charlie Wright and his father in a tall
snag that the starlings nest in along near the visitors center. Here are
some of the sightings for the day.

1 Great Horned Owl being harassed by Robins
1 Lewis's Woodpecker
2 Wilson's Phalarope
1 pair of Blue Winged Teal
1 Lesser Yellowlegs
6 Greater White Fronted Geese flying
12 Cinnamon Teal
7 Western Tanagers
many Yellow, Wilson's, Orange Crowned and Yellow Rumped Warblers
