Last friday's count is a bit late as it was a busy weekend.
Most of the ponds and marshes are rapidly drying out which has
markedly reduced the available waterfowl habitat.
Lots of Great Blue Heron and four young eagles working the remaining
water holes. While the number of birds present was about average
there seemed to be an above average number of animals visible this
morning; one coyote, 12 black-tailed deer, 5 squirrels, and some
rabbits.
