I had a very good morning in the LHG, in east Bellevue, on Monday. At the
boardwalk wetlands, west of 148th Ave. SE, I saw a SPOTTED SANDPIPER. This is
the first I have seen in the LHG since 1990. Also at the wetlands was a
Mallard mother with 10 babies. In the field NE of 156th and SE 16th were 6
AMERICAN PIPITS feeding in the grass. At the Phantom Lake viewing platform
area I saw my first BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK of the year.
