Hi Tweets,

Saturday I went to Leavenworth on a field trip with my
Botany class. I decided to spend a little time
birding in the area when the trip was done (I had a
few hours and I was already over there, so why not?).
AS I was driving on highway 2 through Cashmere, I saw
a Clark's Nutcracker fly across the road. I was
really surprised to see one at that elevation
(although I don't know what the elevation is exactly
there). Also had some other nice birds on the trip,
including 3 male Calliope Hummingbirds, Lewis'
Woodpecker, Chukar, and White-throated Swift. I also
had my first Dusky Flycatcher of the year (yeah! the
empids are back! :-)
