Hello Tweets,

Today my mother and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon visit by several more
migrants in our yard, but NO thrushes, except the nesting pair of Am.Robins.
The main highlight was a male MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER at 2:15pm, as it
foraged throughout our backyard, and was noted drinking from our newly built
pond, as it foraged on a Water Lily, placed in the center of the pond, then
flew over and bathed in our normal dripping birdbath, with a male Wilson's
Warbler. The MacGillivray's Warbler, being a true migrant in our third
personal record for our yard, as it is always special to see them. All our
water sources, especially the dripping hose into our birdbath attract most
of our nesting and migrant birds all year long, even more than food, as they
seem to be enticed by the noise of the dripping action, as well as seeing
the water, sometimes attracting birds from the farthest reaches, bringing
them in close, making it that much more enjoyable to watch any
species..Other species in our yard today included:

1 pair of Band-tailed Pigeons
2 immature male, and 1 adult male Rufous Hummingbird(s)
1 pair of Downy Woodpeckers
1 nesting pair of Violet-green Swallows
1 pair of Steller's Jays, with 2 recently hatched young
1 pair of Black-capped Chickadees
1 nesting pair of Chestnut-backed Chickadees
1 nesting pair of Red-breasted Nuthatches
1 nesting pair of Bushtits
1 pair of Bewick's Wrens
1 pair of Golden-crowned Kinglets
1 singing BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK
1 female WESTERN TANAGER
1 nesting pair of Spotted Towhees
1 adult GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW
1 pair of nearby singing White-crowned Sparrows
1 family of Dark-eyed"Oregon"Juncos, with 2 young
1 nesting pair of House Finches
