Subject: Dusky vs Hammond's

We have had a possible Dusky Flycatcher in Victoria for the last couple of
days. We have had only a few sightings of this species in the Victoria area,
so I am not able to decide whether a particular bird is a Dusky or a
Hammond's in spite of having a very good look today (over perhaps 5 minutes)
and hearing it call (no buzzy notes that I expect from a Hammond's but not
exactly like the examples of the Dusky call recordings I checked either).

For people who see them both regularly, how do you distinguish between the
two species?
