Hi Tweeters: Last night, on my way home from work I had good luck with BARN
OWLS on Hwy. 162. For those not familiar, that is the highway off of 410
heading south towards Orting. In the 5 mile drive from 410 to my home I had
3 owls. One in particular flew alongside my truck for what seemed like 30
seconds before cutting accross my windshield landing on a power line.
Naturally, I stopped to observe the owl constantly snapping its head with
every sound it heard. There must be a lot of owlets out there needing to be
fed because my Barn Owl count for May alone is 7. April's totals were 18.
The moonlight has definately been nice for locating owls!! Bryan Mathews,
