Subject: Swainson's Hawk near Quilcene

Tweets,

I was astonished to see a Swainson's Hawk come low over Crocker Lake north
of Quilcene this afternoon, then find a thermal and head off high and
eastward. Presumably a wandering migrant, but the first Swainson's Hawk I
have ever seen west of the Cascades. The bird was a dark morph, in case
anyone else sees such a bird perhaps working its way east to more normal
range.
