Hi tweeters~

Well, I live on a golf course and have many ponds through out the area but
for some reason not many ducks or geese inhabit this good habitat. This is a
problem as it does not give my ts's or violet-greens a steady supply of
feathers. I asked a friend if he had any ducks feathers and if he could give
me a few but he had none. Well, this afternoon while gone not more than
20-25 minutes after leaving I come back to see robin feathers EVERYWHERE!
(and of course the robin carcass) No accipiter attack because the carcass
was still there so that leaves it to a golf ball. The dead robin was on the
lower beginner level and someone probably in the itermediate tee-off hit the
ball and screwed up hitting the robin killing it instantly. The swallows
were there in a flash picking up the breast feathers, back feathers and
primary feathers. Lucy my f. t. swallow was grabbing whatever she could in
the traffic of swallows and no they weren't white but grey and orange. Oh
well, at least she go her feathers.
