Tweeters,
Woodland Park Zoo is celebrating International Migratory Bird Day on May 19. Prior to the zoo opening that day, we will be conducting guided bird walks on the zoo grounds, from 8:00am to 9:30am.

Ever wondered what kinds of migratory birds visit Woodland Park Zoo? Here's your opportunity to take a guided tour of zoo grounds before it is open to the public and discover the different types of migratory birds that make the zoo a stopping point in their miraculous journeys.

In honor of International Migratory Bird Day, Woodland Park Zoo will be providing guided bird walks on the morning of Saturday, May 19. The tours will begin at 8:00a.m. and will meet at the zoo's South Gate off of 50th and Fremont. A reservation is not required to participate, but highly suggested. In order to reserve your spot, please e-mail Tom Monahan at tom.monahan at zoo.org The deadline for reservations is Wednesday, May 17.

Cost is free with zoo admission and parking fees. Please come prepared with a pair of binoculars and comfortable walking shoes. This is a rain or shine event, so dress for the weather. Participants in the walks may remain in the zoo when it opens at 9:30. See the Zoo's IMBD website for details of the day's events http://www.zoo.org/imbd/imbd.html#
