Todd Thornton, Steve Warner and I decided to combined NAMC duties
with a Big Day. We ended well before dark (1800hr) without the
traditional desperate dash for missed species, but given that,
ended with a respectable 139 species and 93785 individuals. As
always, about 30000 of that total was COMMON MURRES on Ecola Pt.
We also had phenomenal shorebird numbers mostly WESTERN SANDPIPERS
and DUNLIN. We also saw a great many RED-NECKED PHALAROPES and
WHIMBREL
The most annoying miss... Least Sandpiper
Also missed: Wrentit, Bushtit, Western Tanager

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at pacifier.com by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
